The history of the Crew Portal

Born out of everyday festival life - made for events

The urvent - Crew Portal was developed in 2012 by Christian Gripp as a one-man project - originally specifically for planning the deployment of rescue teams at the Wacken Open Air. The aim was to replace the usual coordination via Excel spreadsheets and email histories with a central, digital solution that would meet the high organizational requirements of a major event.

What began as a tailor-made application for a single festival has been continuously developed over the following years. Today, urvent - Crew Portal is managed and distributed by core23 GmbH and is used at many well-known events - including Airbeat One, Rock im Park and numerous other events throughout the German-speaking world.

The software now offers a comprehensive solution for structured shift and resource planning. In addition to clear shift planning and a flexible roles and rights system, the core functions also include an integrated check-in/out system, a notification function and central resource management. New modules such as location planning enable precise assignment of teams to areas, stages or tasks, while integrated catering planning ensures simple and clear organization of catering - even for large teams with different schedules.

urvent - Crew Portal was developed from real event work and is still being further developed today with the aim of offering practical, stable and intuitive solutions for the challenges behind the scenes.
